How to Have Your Best Summer Ever and look good too!

Updated: Apr 14, 2020

Who's excited?!! The first day of summer is tomorrow and after all this rain we've been having, I could really use some sunshine and warmth. Im so excited and I can't wait. I feel like a new season I'll mainly be working during the summer but I definitely will be seeing my friends, family, and doing more YouTube videos, blog posts. I know I've been MIA on the videos, its just I'm so new to filming its so much to set up and I want to make sure everything is perfect for you guys!

Based on what other law students have been saying, the importance of enjoying your summer has been stressed, immensely. I have some summer reading that is not required but is recommended by NEL for incoming 1L's. The book lists reads that seem really informational and I'm not sure if all law schools do summer reading but I think having it your first year really means a lot. If you'd like me to list the books please send me a DM, or leave a comment on this post! These books are also great if you're unsure about pursuing a career in law and want to know more about law school.

Whether you're moving up a grade, starting a new school, starting a new job, etc. in the Fall, the best way to enjoy your summer is by doing something new everyday. Whether that be reading a new book, getting into a new series, going to the movies, try and get yourself out there. Take it from a fellow introvert, if I didn't have to come out and face the world for work, I really wouldn't have. I try to get myself out of the house because when I'm alone with my thoughts, I tend to overthink about things, and by things I mean, the small and stupidest things you could ever think about. It's not healthy and sometimes it makes me upset But since the weather is going to be nicer, getting that fresh air and vitamin-d is really going to help ease those thoughts.

And if you're into doing outdoorsy things, or into just having a drink at bar outside with your friends, you're going to need products that help with the heat, humidity, and are waterproof! I got you guys covered though!

5 Products you need this summer

1) Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation : I'm not kidding you when I say this foundation stays on. Its full coverage, buildable and amazing. Like once it goes on, it does not move. Another plus, is its humidity and I believe water resistant. Two birds with one stone. I use the shades shell beige and, honey bronze to create the perfect match. After a tan, honey bronze would be perfect alone.

2). Urban Decay All Nighter Spray : This setting spray keeps your makeup from creasing, smudging, or just moving in general. If you're going to an island this summer be sure you pack this. Use it in layers, the first being this as your primer, and spraying after each and every wet layer, giving it one final spritz to set your overall look. I can guarantee you your face isn't going anywhere. They sell travel sizes as well making this an extra convenient product.

3) Marc Jacobs Fineliner in Peachy Beige: In addition to being waterproof and smudgeproof these liners are so perfect for creating a neat line whether that be on the top or the waterline. I particularly prefer these liners for the waterline because with the sun, my contacts constantly drying out, and my chronic dry eye my eyes water and the color doesn't wipe off. I prefer the beige for the waterline because light colors open up eye colors more. Its also perfect for travel and so convenient.

4) Clinique After-Sun : Okay so I occasionally get sunburn from time to time. Whenever I get burned by the sun, unlike most girls who get red, I turn charcoal. In a sense I literally get burnt. This aloe balm literally rescued my skin and brought it back to life. If I ever go somewhere extremely hot I pack this. I feel like regular aloe gel dries my skin out rather than moisturizes it, this moisturizes and soothes. It calms the burn.

5) Too Faced Better than Sex Mascara Waterproof Edition: Cult favorite, best mascara I've ever used in my life, waterproof, need I say more?

Heres to an amazing summer! Let me know if you try any of these products and as always feel free to suggest any topics you want me to write about!

xx
