It's Self-Care Sunday, and you know what that means

Having the best self-care day is everything during these insane times. Today, I'm going to share my secrets as to how I have the most relaxing self-care day ever. Self-care has no one meaning, so what I consider self-care may be different from what you consider self-care. To me, self-care is pampering, spa days, eating my favorite things and drinking my favorite drinks (yes I mean alcohol).

Self-care is important. Too often, we take ourselves for granted. Our bodies and minds do so much for us every day, that we can quickly wear ourselves out if we aren't careful. Added stress is something we definitely do not need more of in 2020. So make time for yourself! Grab a good book, go for a walk, or just do something that makes you smile, laugh, and just be happy. Life is too short, don't let it pass you by.

Tips For the Ultimate Self-Care Moment

  1. Light a candle: Nothing is more therapeutic than doing whatever you're doing with a candle on. Always have a calming scent on hand, something that is eucalyptus or lavender based. With those oils being burnt through the air, your senses will easily relax, allowing you to enjoy your moment peacefully.

  2. Take a hot shower or bath: A relaxing bath or shower is the best way to unwind. Im currently loving Laki Natural's line of shower/bath products. Laki Naturals is an all natural brand that tries to capture the beauty and serenity of the Hawaiian Islands in their products. Everything is paraben free, made with essential oils and smells just like you stepped onto Oahu. Im loving their coconut milk bath soak which smells divine and leaves my skin soft.

  3. Turn on some background noise or don't: If you prefer to soak in silence than do that, if not turn on your favorite song and belt out the lyrics as you sit back and enjoy your bath time.

  4. Pour yourself a drink: Having a boozy glass in hand is another great idea. If you don't drink brew up your favorite herbal tea (great for unwinding), or just stick to hydrating with water. Can't get enough of that.
